What happens to the default host firmware policy after a Cisco UCS Manager upgrade?
    A. It is assigned to all the service profiles that include a host firmware policy.
    B. It is replaced by a new default policy without any firmware entries.
    C. It is set to match the host firmware policy.
    D. It is updated to contain the firmware entries of all the components.

The stated answer is A, but I think it is B.

From “Cisco UCS Manager Firmware Management Guide, Release 3.1”
Recommendations for the Default Host Firmware Policy
“After you upgrade Cisco UCS Manager, a new host firmware policy named “default” is created, and assigned to all services profiles that did not already include a host firmware policy. The default host firmware policy is blank. It does not contain any firmware entries for any components. The default policy is also configured for an immediate reboot rather than waiting for user acknowledgment before rebooting the servers.

answer A says “profiles that include a host firmware policy”
The guide says “profiles that did not already include a host firmware policy”

    Anyone have thoughts on this?

Q: An engineer wants to create a backup of Cisco UCS Manager for disaster recovery purposes.

    B and D.

    https://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/unified_computing/ucs/sw/gui/config/guide/141/UCSM_GUI_Configuration_Guide_141_chapter43.html

Full state—A binary file that includes a snapshot of the entire system. You can use the file generated from this backup to restore the system during disaster recovery. This file can restore or rebuild the configuration on the original fabric interconnect, or recreate the configuration on a different fabric interconnect. You cannot use this file for an import.

Which statement about the MAC address that the FCoE Initialization Protocol chooses for use by an E-Node in an FCoE implementation is true?

    A. The FCoE Initialization Protocol uses a 24-bit FC-MAP and concatenates a 24-bit Fibre Channel ID to create a fabric-provided MAC address.
    B. The FCoE Initialization Protocol uses the burned-in MAC address of the converged network adapter for all FCoE operations.
    C. FCoE does not use a MAC address. The FCoE Initialization Protocol is used to acquire a Fibre Channel ID, and the address is used for all FCoE communications in the same way as Fibre Channel Protocol.
    D. The FCoE Initialization Protocol uses 01.00.0C as the first 24 bits of the MAC address and appends a 24-bit Fibre Channel ID to derive a full 48- bit FCoE MAC address.

Is this a multiple answer question? Seems like this is a single answer question, either A or B.

On the question above about FCoE and MAC addresses. Seems like 2 options maybe.
Option B might be referring to server-provided Mac addresses SPMA
Option A is fabric provided Mac addresses FPMA
Option A is definitely right. I’d say if tests asks for 2 answers, then AB

    Q79 above.
Input can be one command or multiple commands. However, commands that belong to different message types should not be mixed. For example, show commands are cli_show message type and are not supported in cli_conf mode.
    examples:
cli_show —>show version ; show interface brief ; show vlan
    cli_conf —>interface Eth4/1 ; no shut ; switchport
    bash —->cd /bootflash;mkdir new_dir

I can’t seem to verifiy C either. except if NX-API id disabled. The code 400 refers to “invalid cli comand”. So between B and D, i’d say the header is just a name. The body is the command, so I’d go with D.
    my reference for this is:
    https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/switches/datacenter/nexus9000/sw/7-x/programmability/guide/b_Cisco_Nexus_9000_Series_NX-OS_Programmability_Guide_7x/NX_API.html

Concerning Q79, it concerns programming using Python so you need the CLI module loaded, not the request module. So C should be correct.

The Python programming language uses three APIs that can execute CLI commands. The APIs are available from the Python CLI module.

    Q32:

An engineer is seeking the most optimal on demand CPU performance while configuring the BIOS settings of a UCS C-series rack mount server.
What setting will accomplish this goal?
    A. C6 Retention
    B. C6 non-Retention
    C. C2 state
    D. C0/C1 state

    Is A the proper answer?

  47. Cletus

    Q32: A not B
B has performance issues until server regains full power
